Rockstar Energy Went To Jail Of Things

As the release date for the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 approaches, Rockstar Energy and game developer CD Projekt Red have built a one-off 1970 Mustang 302 to give away to one lucky fan.

Based on in-game details, the car is named Quadra and is a far cry from what rolled off Ford’s production line 50 years ago. The project was born in Rockstar Energy’s Performance Garage in Southern California. Virtually every exterior body panel has been replaced by carbon fiber and other stiff, lightweight materials. T-REX Grilles assisted Anvil Auto in completing the car’s hyper-aggressive front end. The phantom shroud over the headlights, combined with custom-milled badging, gives the mustang a unique and expensive flair. The modifications are more than mere cosmetic enhancements- most of the car’s underpinnings have been replaced as well. This is necessary for the Quadra to stay in a straight line when someone lets the tuned V8 engine have a meal.

Apart from being an already sizable engine, Quadra’s team wanted to make sure the car was more than usable on a day-to-day basis. Dual engine intakes come courtesy of K&N Filters, upgraded cooling from Mishimoto, along with gauges and exterior lights from Baja Designs. If the Quadra gets out of line, four disc brakes from R1 Concepts will bring the beast to a halt. The Quadra is a unique vehicle that's sure to turn heads, “This is one of those builds that just makes you love what you do and the team you have to accomplish it,” says Rockstar Performance Garage owner Nic Ashby.
