Prior Design’s Audi Coupé B3 Is 80’s Rallying Inspired
Prior Design is one of the top names in aftermarket automotive design and they’ve just proved it again with their widebody kit for the 1988 Audi coupé B3.
While most aftermarket designers stick to modern cars or rare exotics, Prior Design chose the Audi for a specific reason: heritage. In the 1980’s, Audi and their newly introduced Quatro four wheel drive system dominated Group B Rallying. After fighting Lancia for pole positions across the world, Audi won out with their more advanced design.

Aggression is an understatement to whoever comes across this build. The iconic square body of that generation sits atop harsh matte black wheels with heavily flared arches. Combine that with the hood slats, side canards, and a front splitter that could decapitate ants, and you have a vehicle which drives the same way it looks; fast.
Prior Design didn’t just stop with new lines for the B3, the car now has a serious carbon fiber infection. Most new panels have been replaced with carbon fiber and other lightweight materials. Around back, you’ll find a race-inspired diffuser and a thick, lip spoiler. Finally, the exhaust is finished with a modern, oval design.
Prior Design is only releasing forty units of the widebody kit for this particular project. If you’re interested, each kit costs €5,798 EUR (approx. $6,700 USD) while supplies last. Check back here for more updates and all automotive news.
